A Quiet Kind of Care
Passalong was founded on a simple belief: that leaving your records in good order is one of the most considerate things you can do for the people you love.
Back to HomeHow We Came to Be
Passalong grew out of a personal realisation. After helping a close family member work through a pile of unsorted papers following an unexpected illness, our founder Nathalie Charnvej saw how much time, distress, and confusion could have been avoided with just a little advance organisation.
She moved to Phuket in 2016 and noticed that many expat and Thai families alike faced the same situation — not a shortage of good intentions, but a shortage of structure. Records existed, but they were scattered. Conversations needed to happen, but nobody quite knew how to start them.
In 2019 she opened Passalong on Dibuk Road, with a small team and a clear focus: to help families get their important records into calm, findable order — without pressure, without jargon, and without crossing into the territory of legal or financial advice.
Since then we have worked with hundreds of families across the island and beyond — expats from Europe, Australia, and North America, as well as Thai families who value structured, unhurried help getting their records in shape.
Our work is entirely administrative and educational. We help people gather, label, and store key documents in a logical way. We facilitate conversations that help family members share information with one another. We provide toolkits that households can use independently. Nothing more, nothing less.
We are not solicitors, notaries, or financial advisers. We do not draft instruments or represent anyone. What we offer is calm, practical help with the paperwork side of handover — and a great deal of care.

How We Approach Our Work
Privacy as a Given
Everything discussed in sessions stays in sessions. We do not share, copy, or retain client records. Your documents remain entirely in your possession at all times.
Clear Scope of Work
We are careful to stay within our lane. Organisation and facilitation only — no legal advice, no financial guidance, no drafting of any instrument. We refer clients to qualified professionals when needed.
Gentle, Non-Pressuring Pace
We follow the client's pace entirely. There is no agenda to push, no upsell to make. Each session concludes when the client feels comfortable, not when a clock runs out.
English & Thai Sessions
All sessions and materials are available in both English and Thai. Our team includes native speakers of both languages, so communication always feels natural.
Structured Session Notes
After each session, clients receive a brief summary of what was organised and any follow-up steps they identified. These notes belong to the client and are not retained by us.
Continuous Improvement
We review our Toolkit and session formats annually, incorporating feedback from clients and staying informed about best practices in record-keeping and family communication.
What Guides Us
Record organisation is, at heart, an act of consideration. When someone takes the time to put their key documents in order and makes sure the right people know where to find them, they are reducing a potential burden on those they care about. Passalong exists to make that act of consideration easier to carry out — at any age, in any family structure, across any number of countries where records might be held.
We work with a wide range of families. Some come to us at a moment of transition — a move, a health change, a retirement. Others come simply because they have been meaning to sort things out for years and finally want to do it properly. We welcome both. There is no wrong time to start, and our approach is the same regardless: calm, structured, and free from pressure.
Based in Phuket since 2019, Passalong has developed a particular sensitivity to the situations that expat families face — records held in multiple jurisdictions, family members in different countries, and the complexity that comes with long-term residence abroad. We are also deeply familiar with the needs of Thai families navigating intergenerational record-keeping for the first time.
Our team brings warmth and practical care to every engagement. We leave the legal and financial work to those qualified to do it. What we bring is a steady hand, a clear system, and the knowledge that getting things in order is one of the most thoughtful things a person can do.
